Mompiche is a small fishing village on the west coast of Ecuador about 40 miles north of the equator. We have a house there. Check it out:
The house has two elevated floors with four bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a full deck. Secluded outdoor shower. Situated on the beach a short walk from the village, the house offers relaxing views in every direction. – Photo Tour –
One of Ecuador’s best surfing spots, Mompiche is all about long tubular rides in perfect scenery. Approximately 1 mile to the south of the house, this point break produces 1 minute-plus rides of over 400 yards long during average swells.
It is an extremely fun lefthander with a barreling take-off section, followed by a long, thick wall for carving, then a second critical section that walls up again and barrels, ending with a long, hot dog section all the way to the beach inside the bay. – Surf Report –
